“When we agreed on the rules, did you agree or not to refrain from taking work calls on the weekends?” he asked as he stood to walk a little ways behind her.
She heard the jingle of his belt as he unfastened it sending shivers down her spine. “Yes, sir, I agreed.” Her voice came out muffled from where she had buried her head in her arms again. She gasped as she heard his belt come free of its loops with a whoosh.
“And what did we agree would be the consequences?” The authority in his voice caused her to melt with desire and quake with fear in equal measures.
High powered business woman, Violet Walker, has long left her artistic days behind. That is until her best friend, Everleigh Harris, invites her to Corbin's Bend for an art festival. What Everleigh doesn't know is that Violet hasn't been able to paint a single brush stroke since turning her back on her submissive desires and spanking needs in college. When she meets charismatic and drop dead gorgeous Charles her world is turned completely upside down. Will Violet, overworked, burnt out, and in denial of her deepest wants and desires, be able to surrender when love knocks on her door?

DeleteI'm so glad that Charles has implemented that rule, it was time Violet was allowed to see that the corporate world was not the be all and end all of life, but it's tough to see that when you're stuck in the middle of it, and especially when you have been raised believing success is not happiness but career achievements. But she is bound to break it at times, because emergencies do happen! All the better for the jingle of the belt :D
