     She nodded, every last vestige of fight completely gone. Taking a seat in the straight backed chair, he pulled her to stand between his legs. “Okay, Melissa, tell me why you’re getting this spanking.”

     Walking toward the beautiful expanse of grasses and wild flowers, a blue feathered bird chasing insects caught her eye. It was darting amid the wild flowers, hot after a little flying insect. As her heart bloomed, Melissa had a feeling she would prove to be just as much of a bird person as Jason.

As their breathing slowed down to normal levels, Melissa could hear Jason’s heart beating hard from the exertion.

     Heat gathered between them as she propped herself up to look him in the eyes. His blue eyes were clear as the morning sky. Melissa could see the building feelings she had for Jason reflected back to her in his own eyes. He had the fullest most kissable lips she had ever seen and she found herself leaning down to kiss and nip at them lightly. She felt his arms tighten on her back and then, in the space of a breath, she was on her back underneath him. Tongues met as their kiss deepened. God, he tasted good.

     Eventually they eased back from each other, and they just lay there in the middle of the meadow watching the sky. Puff ball clouds moved and shifted above them as a symphony of mountain cicadas chirped and buzzed in a special performance for them. Noticing that one of the clouds looked like a teddy bear, Melissa pointed it out. After that, each and every cloud resembled something familiar to them. Melissa was just pointing out a cloud that was ironically shaped as a paddle when they noticed some darker clouds moving in.

     “Hmm,” Jason said, “that’s strange. The forecast said nothing about rain today.”

     “Maybe it will blow over,” she suggested just before lightning cracked through the air.

     They grabbed their packs and took off, just as the skies opened up on them.

A-Z Challenge: Melissa's Saving Grace #CorbinsBend

     He knew he couldn’t put the spanking off all night. She needed it, but not yet. While she
was getting the brush, he carried a kitchen chair into the center of the living room. She hovered
in the doorway between the rooms like her feet were stuck to the floor. He crooked his finger to
draw her through the door. He watched her eyes and noticed the moment of decision flit across
them. It took another full four seconds before she was able to force her feet to move. She
fidgeted beside him, a look of surprise cascading over her features as he guided her to sit on the
floor in front of him instead of over his lap as she obviously expected.
     Gently unwrapping her hair, curls tumbled down her back. Gathering the damp locks
reverently in his hands, he pulled them behind her shoulders. He brushed her dark brown hair
slowly starting from the bottom working the tangles out one by one. He worked in small sections
luxuriating in the feel of her under his hands. Taking his time, he felt Melissa relax, little by
little, under his touch. Her eyes closed under his ministrations. After every single tangle had been
worked loose and her hair was gleaming, Jason moved his hands down to her shoulders kneading
the tight muscles, working out each knot until the tension had disappeared. A small sigh and then
what sounded almost like a purr escaped from her lips. Not wanting the moment to end, he
continued light stroking across her warm skin for several more minutes.
     Finally he took a deep breath knowing that there was no more putting it off. Giving her
one final squeeze, he helped her to a standing position. “It’s time for your spanking,” he said.

Yay! She could picture the moment almost perfectly. She would be naked, in the corner, waiting for her impending punishment. Release Day! New Author Jitters - A Brush of Violet #CorbinsBend #SpankingRomance

It's release day! I can hardly believe the day is finally here! The buy links haven't gone live yet and I will be on pins and needles until they do. Thus is the plight of every author. While I wait ever so patiently I thought I'd talk a little bit about myself and how I wound up at this place in my journey. If you didn't know this already, and most of you probably do, I am a full fledged card carrying spanko. Finding my first spanking romance was probably one of the biggest thrills of my life. This was many moons ago when aol was still the main search engine everywhere on the web. It wasn't until 6 years ago that I fully started exploring what this means. It has been a fun journey! The biggest thing I've learned is to be authentically true to myself in all that I do. There is absolutely nothing wrong with letting your freak flag fly because believe it or not everyone has one. It may be different from someone else's, but it's there all the same. I say that because I've spent a lot of time hiding this aspect of myself from everyone in my life. I still don't feel like everyone needs to know all the private details, but in general this is who I am. I should be proud of that right? We all should be proud of who we are.

I was thrilled to be invited to write a book for the Corbin's Bend series. What a great way to start out your writing career! I was originally supposed to be a part of season one, but family situations arose and this had to be delayed. So the wait has been long, but the time has finally arrived! Writing for the Corbin's Bend series is like being enclosed in a warm & fuzzy bubble. The CB writing community is similar to the CB community in the books. Everyone is uber supportive, enthusiastic, and willing to work with each other. Thianna & Staci are amazing to work with. I feel completely spoiled.

Here are some random facts about me to tide you over until the book goes live:

What is your favorite genre of spanking romance to read? I love almost all genres of spanking romance but my favorites are paranormal/fantasy, sci-fi, and utopian.

What was the first book that contained spanking that you ever read? I believe it was a Johanna Lindsey novel. I could be wrong, though, because I devoured a romance novel a day when I was a teenager. There were several authors whose books contained spankings and other kink.

Who was the author of the first spanking romance that you read? Aside from the short stories I found on the web the first spanking novel I ever read was written by Carolyn Faulkner. It was such a thrill to happen across it! I wish I remembered the name of it. It was a cowboy novel. When Blushing Books opened their big store I was in heaven.

What other kinks do you like in your spanking novels? Anal play for sure (ie: ginger, plugs, temperature taking etc.) I also like a little hair pulling among other things.

What is your favorite implement: Belt

What is your favorite non-spanking punishment: Enforced nudity

Who is your favorite author from another genre? Diana Gabaldon is my favorite author of my favorite series of all time.

“You’re being very formal all of a sudden,” she noted with a hint of a smile.

“Yes and I suggest you do the same. When we have meetings of this nature, I answer to either Mr. Black or sir. Understand?”

“I think I’ll just call you professor,” she replied with a glint in her eye.
